The landscaping project for the Association of Artists Deblokada Sarajevo revitalized an underutilized courtyard into a dynamic and functional outdoor space. Coordinated by the Association of Landscape Architects in Bosnia and Herzegovina and financed by the Association of Artists Deblokada Sarajevo, the project took place between March and June 2022.

This initiative aimed to create a welcoming environment that blends aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, supporting the artistic and social activities of the association. The design focused on sustainable landscaping practices, incorporating ornamental shrubs, flowering plants, and greenery to enhance the courtyard’s visual and ecological value.

A significant aspect of the project was the involvement of students from the Faculty of Forestry, Department of Horticulture. Under the guidance of experts, the students gained hands-on experience, applying their theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges. This collaboration not only enriched the project’s execution but also provided valuable learning opportunities for the students.

The newly revitalized courtyard is now a space that encourages artistic expression and community interaction. Its transformation highlights the impact of combining professional expertise with student engagement to achieve sustainable and inspiring urban landscaping solutions.
